Reflective mind, built on emphatic judgments
In a clockwork reality
A process of abstraction through visual distortion
Of choices made in a restless dream

Formulating constructs within the relativities
Of deep human consciousness

We recognize
The sacrifice
We need to turn the odds

Words may be dissonant
Wilder
And truth falls with them
Fails to be wield

Slowly the pale grey smoke lifts in
Layers as thin shadows of one's fault
Torn and broken

Aware of the dangers of oversimplifying
Its existence and complex structure,
We separate

Waving sights of one's fear
To mark a release
To find a place to set a dreamwork
A stillborn cause embraced
In poems of extended and cohesive
Metaphors

We empathize
The will to rise
Resting our faith in all
